Based on the method by Dr. Richard Ferber, M.D.

The Ferber method,
made calm.

A timer that runs the intervals so you can be present with your baby. Three nights to a turning point. Seven nights to a sleeping baby.

  • 3 night turning point
  • 7 night full arc
  • 6m+ app age gate

Why Ferber

A method, not a marketing campaign.

Sleep training apps tend to wrap a familiar method in cute illustrations and pad the onboarding with quizzes that have nothing to do with sleep. We built the opposite. Ferber runs the intervals, shows you the night, and gets out of the way. The method is Dr. Richard Ferber, M.D.'s, published in 1985 in Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems. The product is just a timer that respects it.

3

Night turning point

Most parents see clear improvement by Night 3. The first two are the hardest. We say that out loud because pretending otherwise is how this method gets a bad name.

7

Night full arc

The intervals lengthen each night for a week. By Night 7 most babies fall asleep on their own with little or no crying. That is the goal, and it is usually a week, not a month.

6m+

Age gate

Ferber's published minimum is 4 months. We hold to 6 because the consensus on self-soothing readiness lands there and it removes the guesswork for parents.

What is in the app

A small app that does its job and stays out of your way.

A timer that runs the intervals

Three minutes, then five, then ten, with a calm chime when each interval ends. You stay in the room with your baby, not staring at a clock.

Widgets for the Home and Lock Screen

See the countdown to the next check-in at a glance, even on the Lock Screen. One tap opens the app. No more fumbling at 2 a.m.

Night-by-night history

See how long each wait took, when your baby fell asleep, and how the trend is moving. Real numbers beat foggy memory at 3 a.m.

The intervals you actually need

Tonight's waits and tomorrow's, written out plainly. The third value repeats after the third interval. No guessing, no flipping back to the book.

Quiet by design

No marketing pings. One nightly bedtime reminder if you want it. Interval alerts only while a session is running. That is the entire notification surface.

Works offline, no account

Bedtime is not always next to a router. The timer, your night history and your settings live on your iPhone. No account, no sign-up, no ads.

Tonight

Night 1 looks like this.

After your usual bedtime routine, you put your baby down drowsy but awake. If they cry, you wait three minutes, then check in for under a minute, calmly, no picking up. Then five minutes. Then ten. After the third wait, you keep waiting ten minutes between checks until they fall asleep. The app runs the timer. That is the whole job.

The Night 1 waits
Night First wait Second wait Third wait Then repeat
Night 1 3min 5min 10min 10min

After the third interval, the third value repeats until your baby falls asleep.

What we will not do

A small app, kept small.

  • No accounts. Your night history is on your phone, not on a server.
  • No ads, no selling your data, no cross-app tracking, no marketing notifications. We use anonymous analytics and crash reports to fix bugs and improve the app.
  • No mascots, no streaks, no nagging push at 9 p.m. asking how you feel.
  • No medical claims beyond what the published research supports.
  • No content gating. The Method explainer and the 12 guides on this site are free, no email required.
